A place for exchanging information regarding everything associated with the civilian men and women in the Regency/Federal/Empire era.

Our focus has broadened somewhat since this list was born, and has outgrown the original tight focus of those attached to the armies during the War of 1812. Instead, we are interested in civilians outside of the military as well as within that circle. We discuss the period leading up to the War of 1812 and the period immediately following.

We consider clothing (sewing techniques, patterns, fashions) occupations, lifestyles, literature, theatre, mannerisms, values, terminology, etc.
