The Myopathy Mailing List is for anyone who has an interest in, has, or is living with someone who has, a myopathy. Myopathy@yahoogroups.com is our forum for support, exchanging ideas, sharing experiences, offering encouragement and information on many topics. These topics will include, but are not limited to; diagnosis, conventional and alternative therapies, personal health care, news, diet, support groups, doctors, website resources, nutrition and so much more! We also welcome medical professionals who have a special interest in Neuromuscular Diseases. We are a warm, friendly group. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and respect for the opinions of others is a must. Flaming, abusive or foul language, commercial solicitation or spamming is NOT allowed. Rebuttals, exchanges, opinions, differences - whatever you want to call them - are to be made in a POLITE and KIND manner. Most of us already have enough to cope with without having to deal with rude behaviour. You will be expected to introduce yourself to me before your subscription is approved. Your letter of introduction should include your name, your diagnosis and/or your interest in the Myopathy list, and whatever other personal information you feel comfortable sharing. If your subscription is approved you will be expected to introduce yourself to the group. You can either post the same letter you sent to me, or, write an entirely new letter. It's up to you.
