pakke is a package manager for DJGPP. It is currently under development. It is similar in concept to other package managers like RPM, but tailored for the DJGPP environment.

The current design aims are: rpm-like command-line syntax;
automatic FTP or HTTP downloads of needed packages;
flexibility & simplicity (yes, simultaneously!); trouble-free installation/uninstallation of packages with dependencies; easy installation of groups of packages; self-contained, i.e. no unzipping utilities needed; compilable with a few tools/libraries with DJGPP and on Linux; easy to configure.
