The Primary and Community Care Pharmacy Network (PCCP) is composed mainly of pharmacists employed by Trusts, both community and acute, to provide services to the elderly, those with mental illness, learning disability, physical disability, terminal illness, child health and women’s services.
Some members are employed by Health Authorities/Boards or Primary Care Groups/Trusts as Pharmaceutical Advisors or as part of the Registration and Inspection Team and others provide an advisory service to G.P.s.
We also have an increasing number of Community Pharmacist members.
Advice, information and training are provided to community nurses, podiatrists, dentists and other health professionals and to local authorities, private and voluntary groups and carers.
Inspection services are provided to Health Authorities/Boards and/or Local Authorities.
